Solitaire is a family, not one game. Klondike is the layout most people mean by the word — seven columns, a draw pile, build the four foundations up by suit. Spider deals two decks and asks you to assemble full sequences in the columns; FreeCell shows every card face-up and turns the game into pure planning with four spare cells; pyramid and tri-peaks are pairing games against a layout you dismantle from the outside in. Each has a different feel, and the sections below sort the catalog by layout where it carries enough games.

Draw one or draw three, undo, and scoring
Most Klondike games let you choose between drawing one card and drawing three; one-card draw is winnable far more often and is the setting to learn on. Undo is nearly universal in browser solitaire and costs nothing but score. Timers and Vegas-style scoring are options, never requirements.
